							Treesafe’s handling  of our tree removal and pruning was carried out with great care by Nick and the crew with the maximum of safety.  They were very good natured, and careful to look after fruiting trees and other potplants.  They cleaned up afterwards really well, no cuttings left behind.  Great job at a great price.

							Fantastic service! Would highly recommend. We had booked in some concreting and realised 2 days before the concrete was to go down that there were some old tree stumps that needed to be ground down. I was really stressed we wouldn’t be able to get someone in time but I called Treesafe Australia and they gave me an instant quote and sent someone out the next day.

Our access was quite difficult for the machine but the lovely man problem solved and did not complain one bit. Thank you so much!

There are several considerations when considering stump grinding vs stump removal.

Tree stump removal involves the excavation of the entire stump, including its roots. It is the desired choice for those customers wishing to have a completely fresh start with no risk of regrowth. Tree stump grinding involves grinding down a stump to below soil level and aesthetically remove the stump.

There are pros and cons to both stump grinding and stump removal processes. Tree stump grinding is generally more cost effective and less invasive to the surrounding ground soil, yet It does require machinery that creates significant noise. However, stump removal ensures that there is no regrowth of root systems and is often the preferred choice when redesigning a space or for customers wishing to put in infrastructure.

At Treesafe Australia we provide a range of speciality tree services. Our arborists hold the knowledge and experience to remove tree stumps of any variety you would find in South East Queensland. Our stump grinding experts use their speciality stump grinder and equipment to grind the stump to below ground level. They grind down approximately 6-12 inches to allow for planting on top. Smaller stumps can take only an hour to grind, but larger trees could take a longer.

We have different sizes of machines for various job requirements. Our mid-size stump grinder will fit through a standard 700mm gate or we have a hand grinder for any harder to reach places. We then fill in the hole with woodchips from the grinding process and soil. The woodchips produced can also be made into mulch for use around your garden!

Tree stump removal compared to tree stump grinding involves the removal of both stump and roots. Tree root removal means that no regrowth occurs and gives your space a completely clean slate to work from. Complete removal can be better for clearing a space you wish to develop, and allows the ground soil to be root free for replanting of other flora or tree with deeper roots.
