Safety & property values through tree maintenance
Have you ever looked at buying a property or selling one with large trees near or around the house and areas where family, friends, pets or public occupy and thought, wow these trees could be dangerous and could cause damage or injury? The fact is, it is extremely rare that injury from trees occurs and studies have shown properties with trees increase the sale price of a property.
Anderson & Cordell (1988) reported a 3-4.5% premium for an average of five front yard trees, Donovan and Butry (2010) a 2.4% premium for each tree on the frontage, and Pandit (2013) a 4.27% premium for a broadleaved street tree on the frontage (Property value returns on investment in street trees: a business case for collaborative investment in Brisbane, Australia.). This figure has increased up to a 10% increased in property prices. That’s big!!!
Treesafe Australia can assess trees for any required maintenance works to ensure your asset is low risk, and an increased value asset.
How tree maintenance & pruning is performed
Firstly, all tree maintenance services performed by Treesafe Australia, are done by qualified and certified Arborists. This means staff who are trained in Arboriculture which identifies the best procedures for tree health, safety and sustainability. We use a facet of approaches from tree climbing with ropes and rigging, EWP (elevated work platforms/cherry pickers) to ground-based procedures for tree trimming. We have all sorts of specialised equipment to perform works efficiently and safely whilst taking care of your property and surrounds. Pruning, limb removal, hedging and cutting of any tree material are just the beginning. It may not look like much when looking up at the tree from ground level, but it always looks a lot more when you have to clean it up!. We have all sizes of wood chippers from 150mm capacity to 500mm capacity as well as loaders and trucks all to turn your tree cuttings into mulch, which you can recycle straight back into your property.

The environmental benefits of tree maintenance
In today’s world, every environmental and sustainable initiative makes a difference, so why not start at home with professional tree management to maintain the best carbon footprint you can? A total stock of 13,067 million tonnes of carbon was held in Australia’s forests and harvested wood products at the end of 2010. Almost all this carbon (12,841 million tonnes; 98%) was stored in living forests. (Australia’s State of the Forests Report 2013).
What does this mean in your Sunshine Coast backyard? Well, each newly planted tree offsets approximately 21.77 kg CO2/tree to 31.5 kg CO2/tree. This means your trees, or any new growth, are not only an asset to your property, but to the climatic environment. Get tree planting today.
